Congratulations on setting up your Core Keeper server! In this guide, we will walk you through the process of connecting to your server using the Game ID code. Even if you have the IP and port or the server name, unlike most games, they cannot be used to join the game directly. Let’s get started!

Joining your Core Keeper game

1. Access Your Server Files 

   To find your Game ID, there are two alternatives, checking the server file that contains it or checking the logs. Here’s how to check the file:

   1. Log in to your PingPlayers account on our website.
   2. Navigate to the "Game Servers" section from your dashboard.
   3. Select your Core Keeper server from the list of servers.
   4. Look for a button or link that says “File Manager”. Click it.

2. Locate the Game ID

   The Game ID can be found in the server file GameID.txt in the root. Follow these steps:

   1. Scroll down until you see the “GameID.txt” file and double click it.

      

   2. You'll see a big box with a long sequence of letters and numbers, around 28 characters.

3. Alternatively, you can 
   Click on the "Logs" folder to open it.

   

   1. Inside the "Logs" folder, find the file named GameID.txt.

      

   2. Open GameID.txt to view the contents. You should see a code labeled as Game ID. This is the code you will use to connect to the server.

4. Start Core Keeper

    

   Now, let's start the game:

   1. Open the Core Keeper game on your PC.
   2. From the main menu, select the “Join Game” option.

5. Enter the Game ID

    

   With the game open and you on the join screen:

   1. Enter the Game ID you found earlier in the designated field.
   2. Make sure you input the code correctly to avoid errors.
   3. Click on the “Join” button.

6. Enjoy Your Game!

    

   Once connected, you should be able to enjoy your time in Core Keeper with your friends or fellow players!
