The lights are green, the engine is roaring, and your private track awaits. You've set up your Assetto Corsa server, and now it's time to lay down some rubber and set your first hot lap.
Managing an Assetto Corsa server is a unique experience, all handled through a powerful web dashboard—your personal race control center. From here, you'll manage events, see live timings, and start the races that make your server visible to the world. This guide will walk you through accessing this web manager for the first time and getting onto the grid, both through the in-game server list and the popularContent Managersoftware.
Step-by-step Instructions
It's important to know that this game offers a web dashboard to manage your server easily, so we'll help you connect using this feature.
1. Access the Web Manager
Open a new web tab in your browser.
In the address bar, type in the IP address followed by a colon and the port number (e.g., http://IP:PORT).
Example: http://79.127.219.87:12100/
You will be prompted to enter your username and password right away. In here we'll use “admin” as the username since you will be the one managing the server. As for the password, it can be found under the “Basic Settings” in the server's configuration panel.
Once logged in, you will be asked to change the default password. Make sure to choose a strong password that you can remember, since it won't be listed in our website.
(You should be able to change the password once logged in afterwards, if required)
2. Start a Race
To make your server visible in the game, you need to start a race.
You can do this from the Web Manager by clicking on any of the Races options. Either by clicking on the top menu, or the Races options in the main menu.
Your race progress will be shown in the Web Manager and also on the PingPlayers website under the PingQuery section.
3. Join the Server
Here we have 2 different options to connect into our server, either using the in-game server's list or the "Content Manager" software.
In-game option:
Launch Assetto Corsa on your computer.
Once in the game, navigate to the Main Menu.
Click on the “Drive” option and select "Online" at the top.
In the server list, type in the name of your server and wait for the server list to populate. If your server does not appear, make sure a race has started on it.
There are various filters in the server list, some of them may be toggled on or off. Find this settings under “Server” > “Options” and adjust these filters to help find your server more easily.
Content Manager option:
This option can be used directly from the Web Manager, however the Content Manager app needs to be installed in your PC. If you haven't downloaded this software before, feel free to do so here.
Once a race is in-process, go to the “Live Timings” option in the Web Manager.
Click on “Join” on the top left corner. By clicking Join you will probably be prompted with a window to execute the Content Manager app.
(Alternatively you can open Content Manager prior to clicking “Join” to avoid seeing this window)
Once Content Manager opens, you can click the green Join button on the bottom left corner to connect.
4. Select a Car and Join
Once you find your server, select a car from the entry list.
Click the "Join" button to start your race!
That's it, you can now race against your friend or community in your own server!
Troubleshooting:
If you can't find your server by name, make sure you're using the correct server name and settings. There's a “Server Name” section inside Web Manager options.
If you see your server but can't click on “Join”, double-check the selected cars, as some belong to DLCs that you might not have.
Conclusion
You're on the grid! You have successfully connected to your Asset-to Corsa server and are now in the driver's seat of your own racing community. Whether you're hosting competitive league races, a casual track day for friends, or a high-stakes hot lap competition, you have all the tools you need to create the ultimate racing experience.
