How to Connect to Your Euro Truck Simulator 2 Server
Congratulations on setting up your own Euro Truck Simulator 2 server! Connecting to your server is simple, and in this guide, we'll walk you through the process step by step. Whether you're new to server management or just need a little help, we've got you covered!
Step-by-Step Guide
- Open the Game: Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 and continue with the selected profile's career. Please note, you must have completed at least one quick job in order to access the multiplayer mode.
Navigate to Convoys: Once the game is open, click on the Convoys option in the main menu, and then select Convoy Lobby.

Search for Your Convoy: After the convoy list has loaded, type your convoy name into the search field. To ensure your server appears in the list, adjust the filters accordingly. If your server uses any mods, make sure to enable the option that says show servers with mods.

Select and Join: Find your convoy from the list and click on it to select it. Then, click the Join Convoy button.

- Welcome Message: Once you've successfully joined, you'll be greeted with a welcome message in-game. This means you're all set to start trucking!

Troubleshooting
- I can't find my server in the list. Make sure you've added a Steam Token to the Basic Settings or server_config.sii template to allow public listing, otherwise your server won't show up.
- My server only shows 8 max players. The developers force the game servers to be locked to 8 players by default and it can be fixed by shutting the server down, finding
config_ds.cfgfile insideServer/ETS2Data/Euro Truck Simulator 2/and editing usetg_max_convoy_size “8”to“128”. Make sure the server is turned off while editing it, otherwise it won't work!
