While I admire Factorio, for me, Satisfactory is the champion of the automation genre, and I will always have a soft spot for it. I fell in love with it quickly once I picked it up in early access, and I actually upgraded my PC so that it could better run the game with a huge uncoordinated factory setup in my 100-hour save. It hooks you in with a simple premise, and you'll find yourself working on more complex automations.
