How to Back Up Your Space Engineers Server

Backup

3. Locate the save file for the desired world: Browse to the folder PPServer/Saves to find for the save file of the world you want to back up.
4. Download your world's save folder: Once you've found the right folder, download it to your local computer to create a backup.

5. Restart the server: Once your backup is complete, you can restart the server to continue playing.

Restore

1. Shut down your server: Just like the backup process, start by shutting down your server to prevent any corruption.

3. Upload your backed-up save folder: Go to the PPServer/Saves directory and upload your backed-up folder. If you need to overwrite an existing save, simply delete the old folder before uploading the new one.

4. Check server configuration: Ensure that your server is set to load the correct world. Set “Ignore Last Session” to true so that it loads the desired world. This prevents the server from loading a different world save.
