Monuments of Embervale: Terms

1. The promoter
Monuments of Embervale ("the Contest") is run by PingPlayers, operated by Think Huge Ltd ("PingPlayers", "we", "us").
The Contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Keen Games or by Discord. Enshrouded is a trademark of Keen Games GmbH.
2. Who can enter
The Contest is open to anyone aged 16 or over on the date they enter, anywhere in the world, except where the Contest would be against local law. Entrants under 18 need permission from a parent or guardian to enter, and a parent or guardian must accept any prize on their behalf. We may ask a winner to confirm their age before a prize is delivered.
You do not need to be a PingPlayers customer or buy anything from PingPlayers to enter.
PingPlayers and Think Huge staff, the Contest judges, and members of their households cannot enter.
3. Key dates
All times are Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
- Entries open: Thursday 15 October 2026
- Forged in 1.0 Ground Zero deadline: Sunday 25 October 2026, 23:59 GMT
- Entries close: Monday 16 November 2026, 23:59 GMT
- Finalists announced and Community Pick vote opens: Sunday 22 November 2026
- Community Pick vote closes: Wednesday 25 November 2026
- Winners announced live on stream: late November 2026, on a date announced with the finalists
Entries received after the closing time will not be judged.
4. How to enter
Make one post in the Monuments of Embervale forum channel in the PingPlayers Discord server (discord.com/invite/3faUKmz25S). Your post must include:
- up to 10 screenshots (JPG or PNG) and/or a link to up to 2 minutes of video;
- a written description of 150 words or fewer; and
- the tag "Open Build" or "Forged in 1.0".
You may edit your post until the closing time. We judge the post as it stood at the closing time. One entry per person.
5. What makes an entry valid
- The build must be your own work, made in Enshrouded. Group builds are allowed: one person submits the entry, names everyone who built it, and receives any prize. Each person may appear in one entry only.
- Any world, difficulty or world settings may be used, but the world must load on the current version of Enshrouded at the time of judging.
- Screenshots and video may be cropped and adjusted for colour and exposure. They must not be AI-generated, composited, or altered to show anything that is not in the world.
- Nothing in the build may have been placed, spawned or edited with third-party software. Third-party tools used only to position the camera for screenshots or video are allowed.
- Entries must not contain anything offensive, unlawful, or that infringes anyone else's rights.
We may reject or disqualify any entry that does not meet these terms.
6. Forged in 1.0
The Forged in 1.0 prize is for builds on a world started on or after 15 October 2026. To be eligible, your forum post must be up by the Ground Zero deadline, tagged "Forged in 1.0", and include a screenshot of your build site before building began. We may ask finalists for further evidence, such as their world save. If you miss the Ground Zero deadline you can still enter as an Open Build.
7. Judging
A panel of three PingPlayers staff will score every valid entry out of 100:
- Ambition and scale: 25
- Craft and detail: 25
- Creativity and originality: 25
- Quality of presentation: 15
- Livability and function: 10
Each judge scores independently and scores are averaged. The panel selects up to 10 finalists, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, and the Forged in 1.0 winner (the highest-scoring eligible Forged in 1.0 entry). At least one finalist will be a Forged in 1.0 entry. In a tie, the higher Creativity and originality score wins, then the panel decides by discussion. The panel's decisions are final.
8. Finalists
We will contact finalists by Discord direct message after entries close and before finalists are announced. Each finalist must confirm they want to take part before the announcement, and must give us access to their world by Tuesday 24 November 2026 by one of these routes:
- sending us the world save files, so we can host the world on a PingPlayers server for the Grand Tour; or
- uploading the world with Enshrouded's Adventure Sharing feature, under Keen Games' Adventure Sharing Terms. Uploaded worlds can be browsed, searched, downloaded and visited by other Enshrouded players, and Keen Games may use the worlds to promote Enshrouded.
If neither is possible on your platform, we will agree another way, such as a live screenshare. A finalist who does not respond, or whose world cannot be accessed, may be replaced by the next highest-scoring entry.
Joining the Grand Tour stream in voice is optional and does not affect judging. If you join, you agree to your voice and Discord name being broadcast and recorded as part of the stream.
We use finalists' save files only to host and verify the world for the Contest, and delete them within 30 days of the winners being announced unless you ask us to keep them.
9. Community Pick
Community Pick is decided by a Discord poll among the finalists, open from Sunday 22 November to Wednesday 25 November 2026. One vote per Discord account. If we reasonably believe the vote has been manipulated (for example, through alternate accounts), we may disregard the affected votes or have the panel choose the Community Pick instead. Community Pick does not affect 1st, 2nd or 3rd place.
10. Prizes
- 1st place: 12 months of Enshrouded server hosting on a 10GB server
- 2nd place: 6 months of Enshrouded server hosting on an 8GB server
- 3rd place: 3 months of Enshrouded server hosting on a 6GB server
- Forged in 1.0: 3 months of Enshrouded server hosting on a 6GB server
- Community Pick: 3 months of Enshrouded server hosting on a 6GB server
Every valid entry receives the Embervale Builder role in the PingPlayers Discord and may be featured on PingPlayers social channels, with credit.
No entrant can win more than one prize. If an entrant qualifies for more than one, they receive the higher prize (in the order listed above) and the other passes to the next eligible entry.
Winners will be contacted by Discord direct message and must claim their prize by opening a support ticket with PingPlayers within 30 days of the winners being announced. Unclaimed prizes may be awarded to the next eligible entry. The prize can be set up as a new server or added as time to an existing PingPlayers Enshrouded server, and is hosted in a PingPlayers data centre of the winner's choice, subject to availability.
Prizes are not transferable to another person and have no cash alternative. Prize servers are provided under the PingPlayers standard Terms of Service. If a server size listed above is no longer offered, we will provide a server with equal or greater memory for the same period.
11. Using your entry
You keep ownership of everything you submit. By entering, you give PingPlayers a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, crop, resize, caption and share your screenshots, video, write-up, build name and Discord name, and footage of your world from the Grand Tour, on PingPlayers channels and in PingPlayers marketing, in connection with the Contest and PingPlayers' Enshrouded hosting. We will always credit you. We will not sell your entry or license it to anyone else.
Winners' and finalists' Discord names and build names will be published.
12. Fair play
We may disqualify any entrant, at any stage, who submits someone else's work, submits stolen, AI-generated or faked images, manipulates the Community Pick vote, harasses other entrants, or otherwise acts against the spirit of the Contest.
13. Changes to the Contest
If fewer than ten valid entries are received by the closing time, we may extend the closing date by up to 14 days. We may also change, extend, suspend or cancel the Contest if something outside our reasonable control makes it impractical to run fairly, for example a game update that prevents worlds from loading. Any change will be announced in the PingPlayers Discord.
14. Your data
We use your Discord name and any details you give us to run the Contest, contact finalists and winners, and deliver prizes, in line with our privacy policy: https://pingplayers.com/privacy-and-gdpr
15. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, PingPlayers is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed or corrupted, or for any problems with Discord, Enshrouded or Adventure Sharing that affect an entry.
16. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong.
