About Enshrouded
In Enshrouded you build with voxels, so a base grows wall by wall into halls you design yourself. Keen Games develops and publishes this co-op survival action RPG. It opened in Early Access on Steam on 24 January 2024, and Keen dated the full 1.0 release for 15 October 2026.
For 1.0, Keen has announced Sparkworks, a logic system for levers, pressure plates and traps. Keen also lists nine new spells, a level cap of 50 and a reworked Fell Dragon Youngling.
You play as one of the Flameborn in Embervale, a kingdom lost to a corrupting fog called the Shroud. Out in the open you gather and craft, and the survivors you shelter open workshops at your base. Inside the Shroud a timer counts down, so each trip in is a race for loot before it hits zero, with the Fell, the Vukah and the Scavengers in the way.

Pick a plan and a location above and check out. Your server is usually running within 60 seconds. Then set the server name and admin password in Basic Settings, restart, and share the IP and port from your dashboard.
Plans come in 6 GB, 8 GB or 10 GB, and a custom plan goes up to 12 GB. 8 GB is the most popular plan. Keen Games says its server should not use more than 6 GB in total, so a bigger size leaves extra room as you build. Support can help you decide.

In the main menu, open Join, tick the dedicated servers filter and pick your server, or add its IP and query port under Game Servers in Steam. The game then asks for the password of your role. How to connect.
Your admin password sits in Basic Settings. Join the server, type that password when the game asks for one, and you play as admin. Admin guide.
Difficulty lives in enshrouded_server.json: pick Default, Relaxed, Hard or Survival, or Custom to set each value yourself, Shroud time included. Edit the file in Config Manager, turn your template on and restart.
Keen’s user groups (Admin, Friend, Guest and Visitor) each have a password and their own rights, such as kicking and banning, opening chests or building in a base. Set them in your Config Manager template and give each role a different password, or the server will not start.
Each role can keep seats free for itself. When only reserved seats are left, the server shows as full to everyone else. Set the seats for each role in Config Manager, keeping the total no higher than what the server holds. Reserved slots guide.
