Welcome! This guide shows you how to enter commands on your Romestead server using the PingPlayers website console. If you just bought a server and aren't familiar with server consoles, don't worry — it's easy and we walk you through each step.

How to access the server console on the website

1. Open your server configuration panel by going to My Servers > Manage Cluster.
    
2. Find and click the Console option on the left panel.
   In here you can monitor your server performance if needed.
    
3. Select the Game option from the dropdown menu if it's not selected already, as you have different live console options.
    
4. Use any of the listed commands below to manage the server as you please.
    

Stop and Save
 

stop

Fully saves and shuts down the server.
 

quickstop

Stops the server without saving.
 

save

Fully saves the world. The server freezes while saving.
 

quicksave

Triggers a quick save on another thread while the server remains online.
 

Player Management
 

list

Displays connected players.
 

say

Sends a chat message to all players.
 

kick

Kicks a specific IP address.
 

ban

Bans a specific IP address until the next server restart.
 

unban

Removes a ban.

One of the best parts of the web console is that commands execute right away. As soon as you press Enter (or click Send), the server processes the command and shows any output in the console log. That means you can make quick changes, check status, kick a player, restart the server, or run a save without waiting for a restart or a delayed process.

Troubleshooting

• Command returned an error or "unknown command": Check the exact command spelling and syntax.
• Nothing happens when I press Enter: Make sure that the server is running, if it's stopped it won't work.
• Wrong console option selected: Make sure you're under the Game console, otherwise commands won't execute.
• Still not working: Note down the exact command you used and any error messages, then contact support so our team can help diagnose the issue.
