How to Add a Whitelist to Your Ark: Survival Evolved Server
Adding a whitelist to your Ark: Survival Evolved server allows you to control who can join your game. You can easily manage the whitelist through in-game admin commands or by editing a file directly on your game server. This guide will walk you through both methods step-by-step.
In-game Admin Method
- Join your server as admin. If you don't know how to become an admin, please follow this guide here.
- Use the command
ShowMyAdminManager
in the console (access this by using the TAB key).

- Select the player you want to add to the Whitelist and click the Whitelist button. They will be added to the White Listed Players list below.

- Banned players can also be added through this menu. Click Manual Ban and enter the SteamID of the banned player.

File Editing Method
- Make sure the Exclusive Join variable is enabled.

- Locate the file
AllowPlayerToJoinNoCheck.txt
inside the game server. You can use FTP or File Manager to find it atShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\AllowPlayerToJoinNoCheck.txt
.

- Add the SteamID of the players you want to whitelist in that file, making sure to put one SteamID per line.

- Restart your server

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues while adding players to your whitelist, consider the following:
- Double-check that you are using the correct SteamID for each player.
- Ensure that each SteamID is listed on a separate line in the
AllowPlayerToJoinNoCheck.txt
file. - Verify that the Exclusive Join variable is enabled before trying to whitelist players.
