How to Connect to Your Factorio Server

Congratulations on setting up your Factorio server! Connecting to your game server is simple, and this guide will help you through the process step-by-step.

Steps to Connect

1) Open the game and click on Multiplayer

2) Choose how to connect

You can either browse the server list or connect directly using the IP and port.

3) Browse public servers

Select Browse public games

3.1) Search for your game

Type the game’s name using the looking glass or press CTRL+F.

3.2) Select and connect

Select your server and click Connect.

3.3) Direct Connect

Select Connect to address

3.4) Input your IP and PORT

Insert your IP and PORT separated by a colon (IP:PORT) and click Connect.

4) Password Prompt

If the game has a password, you will be prompted to enter it after clicking Connect for either method.

Mod Synchronization

Note that if you have mods that the server does not, you will be prompted to synchronize them in order to disable or download the necessary ones.
