How to Use RCON on Your The Isle Evrima Server
RCON, or Remote Console, is a handy tool that allows server administrators to manage their game server without even having to launch the game. You can execute commands, monitor your server’s status, and perform various other tasks all from a simple interface. Below, we’ll guide you through the steps to set it up and use it effectively on your The Isle Evrima server.
Step-by-Step Guide
Get the RCON Windows software tool called The Isle Evrima RCON from here (latest release at the moment of writing is 1.0.0).
Take note of server IP and RCON port from the server info, and the RCON password from Basic Settings or ask the AI assistant for them.
Launch the
TheIsleEvrimaRcon.exe
and the program should run in a small window.Insert the server IP in the Host field, the RCON port in the Port field, and the RCON password in the Password field, then click Connect.
Use the Quick command options to quickly send pre-established commands such as
Annouce
,Kick
, orUpdatePlayable
(to update the allowed classes on your server).Type whatever you need in the empty text box on the right of the quick command or use the bottom field for other commands. When ready, click Execute.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues, consider the following:
- Ensure you are using the correct RCON port (it must be the RCON port, not the regular game port).
- Check if your server is currently shutdown; RCON will not connect if the server is offline.
- Make sure your Enable RCON variable is set to True on the Basic Settings, it's enabled by default but you may have changed it in the past.
