How to whitelist, ban or promote to admin players in Astroneer

Welcome to your Astroneer server management guide! In this article, you will learn how to whitelist or ban players and even promote players to admins on your server. Please remember, only the server owner or an admin can perform these actions.

Whitelist

1) Join your Astroneer server (you must be the server owner or have been promoted as an admin. More details here).

2) Open the escape menu and go to the Admin panel. Here, you'll see the ADD PLAYER TO WHITELIST option.

3) Type the player's name or select the player from the player list.

4) Click on WHITELIST PLAYER.

5) You’ll see the player added to the whitelist.

6) Now, you should enable the whitelist variable in the basic settings and restart the server. This will ensure that only the whitelisted players (along with the owners and admins) can join.

Ban

If there are specific players you want to block from entering your server, banning them is the best option. To do this, simply select the player from the player list and ban them.

Admin

If you want to give some players the power to manage the server, you can promote them to admin. To do this, select the player and add them to the admins list.

Note that players can only be set to one status (Whitelist/Admin/Banned) at a time.
