How to Connect to Your Wreckfest Server
Join your Wreckfest server: open Multiplayer, sort servers by name, favorite your server and connect. Simple steps and troubleshooting tips.
Welcome! This guide will walk you through the simple steps to join your Wreckfest server. We keep things straightforward for players who are new to game servers.
Join the Server
Players join Wreckfest servers using the in-game server browser. You don't need special programs or extra tools—just the game and the server listed in the browser.
Open Wreckfest and go to Multiplayer:
From the main menu, choose the Multiplayer option and click on Server Browser to see the list of available servers.Sort the server list alphabetically by name (easiest method):
Unfortunately the game doesn't offer a search option to locate the server, so it's best to filter it by name.
Click the column header labeled Name to sort servers alphabetically. This helps you quickly find the server by the name that you've set.Add the server as Favorite:
Once you see your server, add the server as Favorite by pressing C on your keyboard. This helps you find the server easier in the future, as you will see it listed at the top of the list.- Join the server:
Simply click on the server from the list and select Connect. If the server has a custom password, you will be prompted to enter in.
Important:
- If you can't find the server immediately, try refreshing the server list.
- Make sure you're searching in the correct region or using the correct filters.
- If the server is password-protected, confirm you have the correct password from whoever provided it.
Troubleshooting
If you run into problems, check the following common issues and fixes:
- Wrong server name:
Double-check the server name for typos or extra spaces. If you were given the name by someone else, confirm the exact spelling and capitalization.
In case you changed the name from the Basic Settings panel, make sure to restart the server from Actions > Restart to apply the changes in-game.
- Wrong filters are applied:
Make sure filters in the server browser (region, game mode, password/private) aren't hiding the server. Clear or adjust filters and refresh the list.
- Can't connect even though it shows up:
Possible causes include server full, version mismatch (your game or the server needs an update), or required mods. Make sure your game is up to date and any required mods are installed.
- Still stuck:
