Ships at Sea is a maritime simulation game developed and published by Misc Games, the Norwegian studio behind the Fishing: Barents Sea and Fishing: North Atlantic series. It launched into Early Access on 23 May 2024 and puts you at the helm of service, cargo, and commercial fishing vessels across the open waters of Norway.
At its core, Ships at Sea is about building a maritime career. Take on work as a cargo transporter, service operator, or commercial fisher, then explore a 46 x 46 km recreation of the Lofoten region rendered at a true 1:1 scale. You operate fully functional wheelhouse instruments, from sonar, radar, and radio to autopilot, while Nvidia WaveWorks and a physically based buoyancy system make every wave and every vessel behave like the real thing.
Multiplayer is where Ships at Sea opens up. Join a company with friends to share resources and crew the same ship, run separate companies in one session to compete for contracts, or simply sail together across a living, weather-driven world. Sessions tend to run long and progress carries over, so a private dedicated Ships at Sea server keeps your company, your fleet, and your world online around the clock, no matter who is logged in.
