About Longvinter
Upgrading your research base along 8 specialization paths is how Longvinter lets every camp grow its own way. Uuvana Studios develops and publishes this open-world multiplayer sandbox, which entered Early Access on Steam on 24 February 2022 and reached 1.0 on 21 February 2025.
You fish, farm, craft, cook and gather across the Longvinter archipelago, and you can loot or steal from other players too. A boat near Sgt. Lake takes you to Teijo, the swamp island. Mercenaries guard the bunkers, LRI mercenaries hold oil rigs such as the Tupruttaja Oil Rig, and airdrops are announced ten minutes before they land. Vendors trade in mk.
Everyone on a Longvinter dedicated server joins from a Windows PC on Steam, through the in-game server browser. Uuvana Studios wipes its own official servers on a schedule, while on yours the owner decides when, if ever.

In Longvinter, open the server browser, find your server by its name and enter the password if it has one.
PvP has its own switch on the Basic Settings tab. Turn it off, and from the next start players cannot fight one another.
TentDecay in Game.ini decides it: set it to false and restart, or ask support on live chat to change it for you. MaxTents, in the same file, sets the tent limit (2 by default).
Copy your EOS ID from the settings menu in Longvinter into the AdminSteamID line of Game.ini, then restart. Despite its name, the line takes EOS IDs, not Steam IDs, and several go in with a single space between them. Support can add it for you.
Yes. ChestRespawnTime, a line in the server’s config file, sets the longest a looted chest takes to refill (600 seconds by default). Change it and restart, or ask support to do it.
A world from your own dedicated server sits in its Longvinter/Saved folder, next to its config file, so uploading it brings those settings along. Stop the server, upload the folder into Longvinter with the File Manager or SFTP, then start it again. Support can help move it.
Uuvana Studios announces its wipes for the official servers. A private server is yours to run, so when its world starts over is up to you.
