HumanitZ is a top-down zombie survival game set in a world overrun by the dead. You scavenge ruined towns, manage hunger and thirst, fend off the infected, and try to build something lasting in a landscape that wants you gone. It launched into Early Access in 2023 and has been growing through regular updates.
The core loop is classic survival: loot, craft, build, and stay alive. Players raid buildings for supplies, repair vehicles, set up a base, and push back against zombie threats that grow more dangerous over time. Co-op play lets a crew split the work, cover each other on runs, and hold a shared safehouse together.
Sessions tend to run long because progress is persistent: your base, stash, and unlocked gear carry over between play sessions. On a private dedicated server the world stays live around the clock, so any crewmember can log in and continue the run without waiting for the host to be online.
