Vein is an open-world survival game built around scavenging, base building, and staying alive in a harsh wasteland. It runs as a co-op multiplayer experience where small crews team up to gather resources, fortify a shelter, and push deeper into hostile territory.
The core loop has you exploring the world for loot, crafting gear and tools, and defending a base against the dangers of the wasteland. Resource management and smart positioning matter more than raw firepower, and the world is built to reward careful, persistent play over time.
Most groups play Vein on a shared server so progress carries over between sessions. Bases, stashes, and crafted gear all persist, which makes a stable host important. On a private dedicated server, your crew sets the rules and the world stays live around the clock, so anyone can log in and keep surviving without waiting for a host.
