How to host anOpen//77 server
Once it is up, everyone you invite drops into the gamemode you picked, under your own rules.
Choose your plan
Every plan has its own RAM size, and support is there to help you decide.
Pick a location
Same price everywhere, so go by ping.
Choose your gamemode
Pick the scripts the server loads at start, and a restart brings that gamemode up.
Invite your friends
Once your license key is in, they find it in the launcher’s server browser, or use Direct Connect.
Change the server settings later, then restart to load them.

The server tracks every car and loot drop on the map, so it runs in one of our data centres, not on a home PC.
Log in whenever you like, and our SLA covers the uptime.
Your server connects to players over 10Gbps uplinks.
Every location has enterprise DDoS protection in place.
The server runs apart from anyone’s game, so the person who set it up plays on the same footing as everyone else.
Why home hosting struggles
- The server takes CPU from your gameshared CPU
- Everyone connects to your home uploadhome ISP
- The server eats the RAM your game needssplit RAM
- World state sits on your home driveyour disk
- An attack on your line ends the sessionexposed
- One house hosts everyone1 place

Let Ping AI handle
your OPEN//77 server
Request a change in Basic Settings, and Ping AI saves it and handles the restart. It can also go through the console output when a script needs a second look.

The difference between hosting at home
and a dedicated OPEN//77 server
A server hosted at home closes when that PC goes off. A dedicated one keeps the world running.
Factions and stories carry on without you.

Reach real people on live chat with any server question, 24/7.
A specialist can help with your whitelist or the scripts that load at start, so the server opens the way you want.

About OPEN//77
OPEN//77 is an independent, community-run multiplayer platform for Cyberpunk 2077. Communities run their own dedicated servers, each with its own gamemode and rules. The project is in Alpha (November 2026) and is not affiliated with or supported by CD PROJEKT RED.
You open the launcher, browse the server browser by game mode or language and pick a world. The client downloads that server’s Lua resources, checks them and puts you in Night City alongside everyone already there. One server is a strict roleplay city with jobs and factions, another a racing league, another PvP or Freeroam.
A dedicated server runs on its own, with no copy of the game on the machine, and needs its owner’s license key from an open2077.net account. Everyone who joins needs Alpha access and their own Cyberpunk 2077 with Phantom Liberty on 64-bit Windows.

The common answers are all here, and live chat takes everything else.
Pick a plan and a location above and check out. Your server is usually running within 60 seconds. Before anyone can join, it needs your OPEN//77 license key from your open2077.net account, so ask support how to add it. Then share the IP and port for Direct Connect.
It depends on the gamemode, the scripts it loads and how busy the world gets. Plans come in 6 GB, 8 GB or 12 GB, with 8 GB the most popular, and you can move up to more RAM at any time. The OPEN//77 project publishes no memory figure of its own. Not sure? Ask support.
PingPlayers has servers on six continents: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Oceania and Africa. The map above shows every location, and the checkout shows your ping to each one. The price is the same everywhere.
Everyone joining opens the OPEN//77 launcher, signs in with an approved Alpha account and finds the server in the server browser, or uses Direct Connect with its IP and port. Direct Connect does not skip account approval or the server’s own rules.
Yes. Every OPEN//77 server needs an op77_live_ license key, made in its owner’s open2077.net account after the email is verified. Without a key the server cannot enrol or appear in the list, and the key is shown only once, so keep it safe.
Upload the resource folder into resources with the File Manager or SFTP, add its name to resources.load in server.jsonc and restart. The OPEN//77 Workshop holds free gamemodes, maps and tools made by the community.
OPEN//77 ships its own admin panel, Warden, which is off by default. When it is turned on, the server log prints a one-time PIN that creates the first admin account, and more admins can get their own roles after that. The whitelist and ban list live in access.json, and command rights in acl.jsonc. Ask support before you turn Warden on.
server.jsonc holds the server name, description, visibility and tags, the tick rate, the game build it expects and the scripts it loads. Startup options load when the server starts, so restart after a change.
Yes. Everyone needs their own legal copy of Cyberpunk 2077 with Phantom Liberty, at the exact build OPEN//77 supports, on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, plus Alpha access, which you apply for with /alpha apply on the official OPEN//77 Discord. The server itself needs no copy of the game.
Yes. The project calls this Alpha, not a stable release, and says to expect bugs, crashes and unfinished features. OPEN//77 is an independent community project and is not affiliated with or supported by CD PROJEKT RED.
Yes, PingPlayers moves it for free on every plan. Our engineers copy your server files and data over, check them and hand you the new IP, and your old server keeps running until then. Whether your mods and configs come along depends on the migration method. How free migration works.
The OPEN//77 project sets no universal player-count target: capacity depends on the hardware, what the server runs and how busy it gets. You choose a plan by RAM only.
Yes. The server stays up after you log off, so players with Alpha access can still join.
Yes. Every server comes with a 24-hour money-back guarantee. If the server is not right for you, talk to support on live chat or email.
In My Servers, open the three dots on the server card, choose Billing, then View options next to Renewal settings and cancellation, and click Cancel Subscription. The server stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Yes, with SharePay. After signup the panel gives you a link, and everyone pays their share without making an account.
Yes, and switching is free on games your plan has the memory for. Ask support before you switch so you know what happens to your OPEN//77 files.
